Alpine folk meets classical symphony. Herbert Pixner demonstrates that this combination does not need to be clichéd.

In “Symphonic Alps”, the Herbert Pixner Project’s inimitable style and infectious joy of improvisation meld with the huge, multifaceted sound of the Tonkünstler Orchestra.

Contemporary alpine world music at its best meets jazz, flamenco, blues and tango. From the very first note, filled with passion and esprit, this collaboration is all about the relationship of two very different ensembles who share a passion for music.
