Bring your guitar and join in. Making music is fun and brings people together. At Guitars Come Together, we will play and sing well-known (campfire) songs together as a large group.
And the icing on the cake: we will be accompanied by a band. The songs’ lyrics and chords will be projected onto a large screen, so no need to know the pieces by heart. The event will be narrated and we will provide a few ideas for playing technique so that we can start playing together straight away.
- Who can come?
Everyone, young and old, who plays the guitar – whether pro or almost still a beginner. All you need is a passion for playing and a basic knowledge of chords. You’re equally welcome if you sing but don’t play the guitar. - What should I bring along?
Your enthusiasm for music and for playing together with others, your voice (not a must) and, of course, a (tuned) guitar. Also welcome are percussion instruments (tambourine, shakers, etc.), kazoo, … We advise you to bring your guitar in a gig bag, so that you can store it safely during the break. If you have them, you may also want to bring with you a plectrum, tuner, capo, guitar stand (to set the guitar down safely when you’re not playing) and guitar strap.
