Colin Self (they/them) composes music, performance, and environments that expand consciousness and trouble binaries as well as boundaries of perception and communication.
Colin Self’s work has been shown at the Dutch National Opera, the Issue Project Room, the Hammer Museum Los Angeles, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago, The Kitchen in New York, HAU in Berlin and other international festivals and institutions. In their music, they combine contemporary digital with nostalgic sounds from their youth to deliver an exciting, highly political work of art, which we can experience for the first time in Munich as part of the Frameworks Festival.
