Forscher*innentreffen (Researchers’ Meet-up)Take part in the Dritte*Orte Archiv initiative
This event is in the past.
Dritte*Orte Archiv collects places in Munich: niche places, unconventional places and everyday places; place that grew rather than being planned, created by the people they serve; each unique and sometimes transient, vanishing again or being displaced or abandoned. When they disappear, emptiness remains.
We want to create a living archive of these places together and visualise what once existed, currently exists and should exist.
Do you remember a third place that is no longer there? Do you know a place that is important – for your neighbourhood, for you, for others? Do you have ideas for places that Munich would benefit from? Would you like to get to know Munich and its special people and places? An archive such as this cannot ever be comprehensive and complete. But we want it to grow, with you as an “urban researcher”.
At our researchers’ meet-up in the public library in Motorama, we will talk about the project and look at the urban research toolkit, which you can use to visualise missing, existing or possible future places on the map in our digital archive.
If you want to take part, already know or have ideas of places to add or just want to find out more, just drop by or write an us email to hello@dritteortearchiv.com.
