An impressive, reverent experience: The Dresden Kreuzchor and Dresden Philharmonic perform Mozart’s Requiem together with works by Arvo Pärt.

Under the baton of Martin Lehmann, the renowned orchestra and choir move between musical heritage and modern zeitgeist, touching its audience with its crystal-clear voices and unbridled passion. For Mozart’s legendary Requiem, the choir will be accompanied by selected soloists and the magical sound of the Dresden Philharmonic.

The evening’s programme is rounded off by meditative masterpieces by Estonian composer Arvo Pärt, who celebrates his 90th birthday in 2025. Works such as Fratres, at times restless, at times full of eternal-seeming in their spiritual, minimalistic beauty, alternate with Mozart’s Requiem: an unusual concept that makes for an impressive evening; a prayer to silence, chaos and perfection.
