Since its cinema premiere in 1973 under its original title “Tři oříšky pro Popelku” in what was then Czechoslovakia, the film has been broadcast in more than 50 countries around the world, bringing a little fairy tale magic into people’s homes in the festive season.
This winter, the beautiful Cinderella and her prince can once again look forward to a very special stage: the Isarphilharmonie will be transformed into the setting for the enchanting love story during the Christmas holidays. While the entire film takes its course on a large screen, the film soundtrack by Czech composer Karel Svoboda will be played live by the Prague Royal Philharmonic, almost turning the audience into visitors to the court ball themselves. And if you look carefully, you may even spot a glass slipper on one of the steps …
