Dutch violinist Janine Jansen combines passion, lightness and melancholy like no other. For over 25 years, she has been instrumental in shaping the musical landscape with her depth of character, reflected in her high standards and her captivating play that is both tangible and ever authentic. Every performance on her Stradivarius is a great moment of virtuoso violin artistry.

 

Time and again, Jansen ventures into untouched territory, as testified by her highly acclaimed 2021 album “12 Stradivari” and a film documentary by the same name. Playing 15 different works on twelve different Stradivarius violins for these productions, Jansen brought the unique timbre of the legendary violin maker’s priceless instruments to a wide audience.
