With his raw, anthemic storytelling and his indie-folk sound, Lofts is often compared to a young Van Morrison and to Paolo Nutini and his authentic soul. With songs that are both deeply personal and universally relatable, he has built a reputation for sincere songwriting and captivating live performances, and has cultivated an extremely loyal fanbase both online and on stage.
Dave’s story is just as down-to-earth as his music. As a former member of the Irish Defence Forces, he brings a unique life experience to his songs, lending them added depth and authenticity. The special connection with his audience is evident both in his impressive live performance record and in his rapid rise to streaming success, with over 500,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. He sold out 25 consecutive headline concerts in Ireland and, in April, completed his first fully sold-out UK tour, with performances in London, Manchester and Glasgow.
