A bit of swing makes everything seem easier – or at least that’s what Andrej Hermlin thinks. Andrej Hermlin and his Swing Dance Orchestra is one of Germany’s most suave, as well as successful, big bands. True to style in music and outfit, the orchestra is dedicated from head to toe to the era of luminaries like Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman and Duke Ellington.
Their Christmas Swing programme features famous American seasonal melodies in the style of the 1930s to 1950s. Framed by a magical stage set, the orchestra combines contemplative moments with grooving, festive swing in the run-up to Christmas. With Custom-made period costumes, vintage microphones and original period instruments, this show takes you back to the era of swing with all your senses.
