With Christmas carols from around the world, this year’s traditional Gasteig Christmas concert is going international. Together, we are embarking on a journey to find out what other peoples and cultures sing at Christmas. Look forward to a colourful programme of seasonal music from different parts of the world.

A six-piece vocal ensemble is accompanied by a quintet specially assembled for the event consisting of French horn, viola, bass, drums and piano. Familiar, soulful melodies alternate with lively South American grooves, Christmas carols to sing along to and swinging Christmas evergreens. The journey takes us from Germany and Austria to France, Italy and Spain, and via Scandinavia all the way to the USA and South America.

Let’s get into the festive spirit together at the Isarphilharmonie.
