Christiane Büttig is a versatile conductor who moves between choir and orchestra, between amateurs and professionals, between classical and popular music, always focussing on singing as the most human form of expression. Whether with the Unichor Dresden, which she has developed into an outstanding ensemble, as choir director at the Semperoper Dresden, as a singer with ensembles such as the Dresdner Kammerchor or as a conductor of baroque and symphony orchestras, her musical expertise and respectful work with people invariably result in musical experiences of a special kind. Since 2024, she holds a professorship for choral and ensemble conducting at the Mozarteum University Salzburg.

Andreas Kowalewitz studied piano and conducting in Hanover and conducted the Gärtnerplatz Theatre in Munich from 2003 to 2021. He has been a guest conductor at the Staatstheater Nuremberg and Kassel as well as the Münster Theatre. Kowalewitz is musical director of the Opern auf Bayrisch ensemble and was awarded the German Musical Theatre Prize for the best musical arrangement in 2015. He creates arrangements for broadcasters BR and WDR, the brass section of the Berlin Philharmonic, the Hanover State Symphony Orchestra, the Kiel Theatre, the Munich Radio Orchestra and the Munich Symphony Orchestra, among others.

The KlangVerwaltung choir was founded in 2000 by Enoch zu Guttenberg. Since his death, the ensemble’s focus has shifted to developing its own innovative formats in both concert and theatre settings as well as expanding its collaborations with nationally and internationally renowned festivals, orchestras and conductors. In the current concert season, they will perform debuts at the Festspielen Europäische Wochen Passau festival and in the Heilbronner Harmonie.
