The Dutch saxophonist and singer Candy Dulfer can look back on a long career in funk and is now coming to the Isarphilharmonie with her band on her latest tour.

The “Queen of Sax”, has truly earned her place in music history, with her Grammy-nominated debut album Saxuality, over 2.5 million solo albums sold worldwide, live and studio performances with the biggest names in music – including Prince, Van Morrison, Maceo Parker, Aretha Franklin, Blondie and Pink Floyd – several number one hits in Europe, Japan and the USA as well as worldwide concert tours and legendary live shows.

Candy is the winner of the Edison Jazz Lifetime Achievement Award, the Netherlands’ most prestigious music prize. Convergency, with Chic legend Nile Rodgers, from her album We Never Stop, earned her a US Billboard number one. With her Funkalicious Tour, Candy brings her impassioned stage presence and inspiring, uplifting message back to Europe’s premier concert venues.
