In 2023, Abel Selaocoe was awarded the Opus Klassik in the Classical Music Without Borders category. And the Telegraph called him “a radiantly talented cellist and a one-man band.” Abel Selaocoe will demonstrate this talent once again when he comes to the Isarphilharmonie with the equally unconventional Aurora Orchestra, bringing his own composition with him: Four Spirits, a homage to his homeland.

Selaocoe could not have chosen a more suitable performance partner than the Aurora Orchestra: As well as being known for its unique creativity and innovative repertoire, it is one of the few orchestras in the world that also performs works standing and by heart. It even masters Beethoven’s Symphony No 7 without sheet music, making for a unique experience for its audience.

Programme
