The Munich Accento Orchestra of students and apprentices is characterised by its dynamic narrated concerts that inspire classical music buffs and newcomers to the genre alike. With its 2025 winter concert, the orchestra invites you on a journey from Romantic opera to the present day; from Giuseppe Verdi’s Nabucco to Mendelssohn’s Symphony No 3 to the world premiere of Immanuel Metzger’s cello concerto, which the cellist has composed especially for this concert and will perform himself.

About the soloist

Born in Tuttlingen in 2006, cellist Immanuel Metzger began his musical career at the tender age of five, later expanding his range of instruments to include the piano and organ. At that time, Immanuel Metzger also began to delve more deeply into composition, creating various works for a variety of instrumentations. From 2020, he took lessons for cello with Prof. Mario De Secondi at the University of Trossingen and is, as of this year, being taught by Prof. Matthias Gredler at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich.
