Only 30 people live on the Greek island of Arki. The island’s only child, 10-year-old Kristos, is the son of a shepherd family and in his last year of primary school. In the classroom, the relationship between the solitary pupil and his teacher Maria plays out. Seeing great potential in Kristos, she believes that he should attend secondary school on another island. But Kristo’s father wants him to stay. What will Kristos decide? For one whohe year, director Amati accompanies the boy’s inner decision-making process.
