Discover Munich’s vibrant young music scene

Following their successful debut at the Gasteig HP8 last year, our trainees are back with a new edition of their Isarflux festival. Their mission in 2023: to feature and promote Munich’s diverse, vibrant young music scene.

On Easter Sunday, 9 April from 8 PM, the impressive Hall E will be filled by the sounds of Florian Paul & die Kapelle der letzten Hoffnung, its name, “the band/chapel (the German word has both meanings) of last hope” as melancholic as their danceable music, and the spherical sounds of Fallwander. For those who like it wild and raucous, post-punk band Prohibition Prohibition will meanwhile rock Hall X. Not from Munich but also on the scene: the British formation Kyoto Kyoto. Coming all the way from London just for their gig in Hall X, the Brits prove that Krautrock, far from dead, is alive and kicking.

As always, Isarflux is planned, organised and run entirely by the Gasteig’s trainees – from choosing the line-up and booking the artists to setting up and operating the stage sound and lighting, to artist hospitality and running the show on the night, the show is in their capable hands.
